I do agree with the context of which you've put "world" into. I suppose I went too wordy in my own tangent of explaining it to myself, but I think I was aiming for the same point. When I say creation I mean man-made creations, in the idea of playing the role of God. Instead of worshipping what God has given I find people who worship what it is they do with no accordance to God. But thank you for your comment. :) much appreciated.

The word "world" is used to mean a few very specific things in the Bible, each one made clear by context. When it talks about "Jesus coming into the world," it's talking about the planet and the creatures who live here. He entered history. However, very often, the word "world" is used to refer to the world system, everything that is opposite God and heaven. We know that this is the usage here because it's talking about sin. This is similar to when Satan is referred to as the prince of this world. So when the Bible says "hate the world" it is not saying hate creation. Even God said of creation, "It is good." It is telling us to hate the system of self-focused, self-absorbed, God-hating attitudes that stand in opposition to the truth. The definition is, in a way, contained -- "the world" in this context means just what it says -- the sinful cravings, the lust of the eyes (the idolatry of coveting what you see), and the boasting. So love Earth and hate sin. Enjoy creation and leave behind the world's hatred of good. And may God bless you in your search for truth.

God has this way of humbling us, and if anyone wants to argue about Him not having a sense of humor, well, that's an unending battle.

Ha, "blind man seeking no judgment for hacking loogies on slender objects such being trees and other things at slight distances"

But, seriously, I do find myself in the place with the "j-hammer" cynically criticizing everyone, even the unknown passers-by.

Then, I bring "pity" into the picture. Each of us is created out of love, as a beautiful image of our Creator. When I get annoyed with people, I try to look at the reason of WHY they act, say, speak, do the things in the way that they do. It helps to see their brokenness. Kinda like the lost boys of Neverland but we have never been entirely orphaned. A little lost, some more than others.

And that's where you come in. Give em a hug or just "share the love" like Jesus did, even with the prostitutes, the thieves and murderers, the snobs of society, the oblivious to human conscious.

I've been there. The bottom of the floor, of everything that exists feeling. Numb yet terrified.

He is beside you. You are on His mind constantly, and like me, you probably are reaching this point because there's no other being, book, theory, and so on that can soothe and truly replenish this void, slowly yet securely.

Gah, He loves you so much. You're a powerful individual, and He smiles, He sings over you and what you will be.

This scripture has been quoted to me over 5 times from different individuals just in this month, and I think now I know why God brought it to my attention so many times, for you.

"Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor." -James 4:9-10

Just let him break who you were, who you have been for who he designed and created you to be.

i've realized lately how much of an obstacle, how hard it is to be content in the moment, the present time.

worry is always an issue.

but worry about the present. leave the future to itself. although he is a distraction, it's almost useless and he brings about that anxiety at higher toxicity.
